STAR WARS: Galactic Racer PC Settings for RTX 3060 and RTX 5070 Ti

Quick answer

For an RTX 3060 12GB and Ryzen 5 5600X, Daniel Owen’s early-race test gives 1440p High with DLSS Balanced as a roughly 60 FPS starting point after uncapping the default limit. It is not a locked-60 guarantee; compare on your own repeatable route and avoid known problem combinations.

Windows PC; published tests with limited scenes. Game build, drivers and 1% lows were not fully reported.

RTX 3060 starting point

Daniel Owen tested an RTX 3060 12GB, Ryzen 5 5600X, 32GB DDR4 and SSD. At 1440p output, High preset and DLSS Balanced, with the default 60 FPS cap removed, early races ran around 60 FPS.

Lowering only the output to 1080p still left the test close to 60. Using 1080p Low with DLSS Balanced pushed it noticeably above 60, at the cost of image quality. This limited result does not promise 60 FPS on every track.

Start with the High profile on similar hardware. If it is unstable, use the Low profile as a comparison. Uncapping helps reveal a bottleneck during testing; choose a sustainable target for actual play. The source did not report Windows version, driver, game build or 1% lows. Low GPU utilization alone does not establish the cause of every stutter.

A higher-end reference

Published test Output and settings Reported performance
PCFormat: Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RTX 5070 Ti, 32GB RAM 4K, maximum quality, DLSS Performance About 70 FPS in the hub; 78–100 in races, frequently near 78. High adds roughly 10 FPS.

Frame Generation’s state was not clear in that report. Do not label these as confirmed Frame Generation-off figures. The earlier Destructoid 5700X / 9060 XT low-medium settings table gives no resolution or measured FPS, so it is only another hardware-specific candidate, not a 60 FPS target.

Compare on your own machine

Record CPU, GPU, output resolution and settings. Repeat the same route, compare average FPS, low frames and image quality, and change one setting at a time. After restarting, confirm that the settings persisted. Menu or cutscene readings are not whole-race results.

Known combinations to avoid

The official known-issues list includes Fullscreen app-switching problems, visual problems on Arc A580 with ReBAR disabled, MSAA upscaling issues, and a crash risk when combining Nvidia 50-series Frame Generation with DLSS.

Match the workaround to your hardware and symptom. Disabling ReBAR is not a universal optimization, and one known issue does not explain every performance problem.
