Stop between events
- Complete the current event and wait until you are back on the Tour route, between races.
- Open the menu and choose to quit to the main menu.
- Check the displayed last-saved time, then close the game.
- On your next launch, continue the current Tour from its saved position.
Choose the normal quit option rather than Abandon run. Ethan Parker’s guide describes this route; IGN and Ebontis also describe pausing a Tour and continuing later. Ebontis excludes stopping during a race.
Autosave limits
Each completed event saves automatically. There is no manual Save Game option or set of multiple save slots. A completed result cannot be undone by reloading.
Parker reports that forcibly closing during an unfinished race can restart that event, but this is not the normal save procedure above. We have not verified that behavior, and patches may change it. Avoid relying on a forced close to protect your progress.
Abandoning a Tour or exhausting its failure allowance can lose temporary growth and Parts. Permanent progression follows separate rules.
Back up a Windows Steam save
The reported local folder is:
C:\Users\[Windows Username]\AppData\Local\StarWarsGalacticRacer\Saved\SaveGames\[STEAM ID]
Copy the original files for a backup; do not move or edit them. This path is for Windows Steam, not consoles or Steam Deck, and it does not establish cross-platform save sharing.
